What is Beach Warrior?
Beach Warrior is a mass participation obstacle racing event held on the beaches of Australia, owned and operated by Surf Life Saving Australia.
The inaugural national Beach Warrior event was held on the Saturday of SLSA’s iconic Coolangatta Gold weekend (12-13 October 2019) and was an awesome event for everyone aged 12 and over!
Look out for future Beach Warrior events to be held at other beaches around the country.
Race it, run it or walk it. You’ll love it.
Beach Warrior is aimed at people of all shapes and sizes and all levels of fitness.
As Beach Warrior is conducted by SLSA, entry prices are very affordable and all proceeds will go to the Surf Life Saving movement to assist lifesavers around Australia to keep our beautiful beaches safe.
Beach Warrior Coolangatta
The inaugural Beach Warrior competition has been hailed a great success at the 2019 Coolangatta Gold Festival, with hundreds of competitors turning out despite the wet conditions.
The innovative course, including 25 fun and challenging obstacles, was tackled by 375 elite and recreational participants. The waves of competitors started on the grass parkland, before the elite and recreational participants pushed themselves on the beach, in the water and back on the beach.
