Beach Warrior South Melbourne Postponed

The inaugural Beach Warrior club event in South Melbourne, Victoria has been postponed due to the information and recommendations set out by the Federal Government in relation to the COVID-19 virus.
Following the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) meeting on Friday, March 13, with respect to the COVID-19 virus, it was recommended that all non-essential, organised public gatherings be avoided for the foreseeable future, with Surf Life Saving Australia and South Melbourne Life Saving Club supporting the advice.
The decision to postpone the event was taken to ensure the health and wellbeing of participants, volunteers and spectators and to also play a part, in reducing the spread of the virus, out of respect for all Australians and the health care system.
Beach Warrior South Melbourne was set to take place on Sunday, April 5 across both South Melbourne and Port Melbourne Beaches with event organisers seeking to reschedule the event later in the year.
All registered participants will receive an email outlining the process for transferring their registration or accessing a refund for paid entry fees.
